Let me tell you a secret..

As well as being a musician, Chatri is also an illustrator. It's in this latter capacity that I first met him, when he joined me to illustrate a comic book I'd written called Saffron Lin, which had a tiny print run. Saffron Lin was a very simple idea--set in a devastated future Japan, a schoolgirl with super-fast reaction is the only person who can operate the cutting edge technology needed to save a hostage from the badlands of an abandoned city.

To my surprise, Chatri composed a mini album of music to go with our comic it arrived one day in the mail, at the time when I had no idea Chatri was also a musician, and it was amazing. I've heard bits and pieces of Chatri's music since that day, but for me this mini- album hold a special place - Chatri channeled Vangelis and various anime soundtracks to the heart of Saffron Lin was about.

Here's that secret I promised to tell you - Chatri's soundtrack is a lot better than the comic story I came up with all those years ago. Soif you want to read Saffron Lin, I recommend you play this wonderfull music, close your eyes and just imagine how great that comic must have been !

Bio : Rik Hoskin ( Dragon Award Winner for Best Graphic Novel 2018) is a comic book writer and science fiction novelist from UK. He's written comic strips for SUPERMAN, STAR WARS, DOCTOR WHO, various DISNEY PIXAR and Dream Works characters, and help develop a SPIDER-MAN comic aimed at pre-schoolers. He also collaborated on graphic novels with best-selling authors BRANDON SANDERSON, DEAN KOONTZ and PATRICIA BRIGGS. His book includes a trilogy of novels on the HERCULES the Legendary Journeys Television series and 20 Novels under the pen-name JAMES AXLER.
